Dr Walter J Lee’s private practice is in internal medicine established over 28 years with a large population of geriatrics who are mostly Asians as well as within the long-term facilities which both offer diverse opportunities and a chance to make a difference by helping others. You will be mentored by Dr Lee during the initial period and will be independent to patient care in the private practice as well as in the long-term facilities, which values mutual respect, integrity, personal responsibility, innovation, communication and teamwork.
Job Description
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will have bi-lingual language in Cantonese and/or Toisanese experience. The candidate will work collaboratively with the Physician to deliver medical care to the practice patients and long-term facilities patients. The focus of the job includes providing primary care to complex medical patients and consulting patients requiring evaluation and long-term management of medical conditions. A high level of autonomy is expected. The NP or PA provides comprehensive assessment, ordering, conducting and interpreting diagnostic tests, diagnosis, prescription of pharmacologic agents and treatments and non-pharmacologic therapies. The NP or PA will work with the care team in coordinating discharge planning and facilitate the patient's transfer of care back to the primary provider. The NP or PA will consult and make referrals to physicians and other members of the health care team as appropriate. There is a significant educational component to the position consisting of teaching and counseling individual patients and families as well as educating/mentoring allied health practitioners in training.

Basic Qualifications:
Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Massachusetts RN license (or eligible) and certification (or eligible to be certified) as a FNP, ANP, or ACNP; Or graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Massachusetts Board of Medical Practice (or eligible).

Other Qualifications:
Must be eligible for DEA registration and billing privileges. Will train the right candidate. Please submit resume and 2-3 letters of reference.
